“Mordecai: The Life and Times” is a new 750 page biography of the late great Canadian novelist and commentator. Author Charles Foran was given access to Richler's personal papers and by his widow Florence and his many beloved and multi-talented children. He also spoke with Richler's inner circle of friends which included everyone from the guys at a local drinking hole near his cottage to financier Conrad Black. And while he was very close to his wife, children and friends, he was estranged from much of his own family including his own mother.
